John Zeretzke - fiddles, stro viol, Cherokee flute, vocals
John started the band in 1998 for a concert at the Music Center of Los Angeles in downtown L.A. He considered a few important tenets that are still key elements of the band to this day - great musicians, easy to laugh with and wonderful down-home, fun music makin’. John has won numerous awards as a composer and as a professional Artist/Educator, including the Professional Artist Service Award (PASA) in 2001, a lifetime achievement award for his work in the field of Arts Education in California. John has worked in creating ensembles, concerts, speciality performances and programs of traditional and World Music genres for over 25 years and is the fiddle and Master of Ceremonies for the band. He has composed music for orchestras, ballet companies, feature films, television, cd recordings and conducts lectures and arts education programs across the western United States. www.johnzeretzke.com
